York Lesbian Social Group
The York Lesbian Social Group is happy to announce that we have secured a safe comfortable location for a monthly meet-up for a cuppa and chat.
This meet-up is especially catering to older 50+ lesbians as they seem to be a forgotten element in society, even in the LGBT community. For them, it is more important to have a locale that is befitting the older needs; not all women want to go to a disco, club or other such outlet when all they want is a cuppa and a chat. For some, it may be the only outlet where they can be themselves. This will take place on the 3rd Thursday evening every month from 5:00 to 7:30pm.
The first meeting will take place on Thursday, 21 January 2016 commencing at 5:00pm at the premises of Kyra – Women’s Project, behind the Central Methodist Church, St Saviourgate, York YO1 8NQ.
The project is being supported by AgeUK and the York LGBT Forum.
