Introducing ROSE in Focus
We’re excited to share that Kyra has secured funding for a brand-new side project: ROSE in Focus, led by our brilliant Sherrie.
ROSE in Focus is an extension of our existing ROSE group (Reaching Out, Supporting, Empowering), offering young women aged 18–30 a chance to get involved in project-based and consultation-focused work that builds confidence, develops skills, and supports wellbeing.
The group will run on Wednesdays from 4:30–6pm. With just 15 spaces available over the year, we’re intentionally keeping the group small so that each member gets the attention and support she needs.
What the Group Offers
So, what exactly does ROSE in Focus involve? It’s flexible, interest-led, and always purposeful. Projects might include:
- Working with organisations like Healthwatch, The Hub, or All About Respect on consultation work
- Exploring topics such as coercive control and safety for women
- Supporting Kyra through fundraising or social media
- Gaining AQA accreditations for self-directed or group learning
Alongside group projects, there’s also the opportunity for individual work, tailored to member’s personal interests and goals. Some of the areas explored so far include forensic psychology, domestic abuse and personal safety, and improving neurodiversity awareness.
Whether working solo or in a team, the focus is always on building confidence, knowledge, and a sense of purpose.

Why This Matters
One in four young women aged 16–24 experiences mental health problems like anxiety or depression. Since 1993, rates of self-harm in this age group have tripled, now affecting over a quarter of young women.
That’s why ROSE in Focus is designed to go beyond emotional support—it helps young women build purpose, connection, and practical skills.
Over the years, we’ve seen just how powerful the ROSE project can be. Former members like Kit Taylor have gone on to do amazing things—turning their experiences with Kyra into confidence, creativity, and powerful personal growth.
ROSE in Focus builds on that same spirit, offering the next generation of young women the chance to step into their own success stories.
Want to Help Us Support Young Women?
Projects like ROSE in Focus only exist because of generous funders and community support. If you’d like to help us provide more targeted mental health support for young women, you can donate, volunteer, or become a corporate sponsor.
