At Kyra, we know that looking after your mental health isn’t a luxury, it’s essential. That’s why we’re excited to offer a brand new monthly Women’s Wellbeing Workshop, led by Ashley from The Good Mental Health Project at York CVS.
These sessions offer a supportive, practical space to reflect, recharge, and reconnect with yourself, while learning simple, evidence-based ways to boost your mental wellbeing.
What Are the Five Ways to Wellbeing?
Each month, Ashley will guide participants through the Five Ways to Wellbeing. These are:
· Connect
· Give
· Be Present
· Keep Learning
· Keep Active
Each workshop will lightly touch on all five, then dive more deeply into one theme. Through gentle discussion, reflective exercises, and practical tools, you’ll explore what wellbeing looks like for you—and how to make space for it in everyday life.
Why This Matters
Women are disproportionately affected by common mental health conditions, especially anxiety and depressive disorders. Many of our members have experienced trauma, isolation, burnout, or overwhelming caring responsibilities.
Having a calm, welcoming space to pause and check in with your mental health can make a big difference.
Ashley’s approach is compassionate, down-to-earth, and rooted in lived experience. As part of the Good Mental Health Project, she works across the city to break down stigma, support early intervention, and equip people with the tools to take small, powerful steps toward better mental health.
Whether you’re looking to build new habits, reconnect with yourself, or simply try something new—you’re very welcome.
