The end of the year can bring up all sorts of feelings, and for many women, Christmas isn’t always easy. For some women, Christmas can be a time of grief, loneliness. That’s why events like Kyra’s Members’ Christmas Party matter. It’s a chance to connect, be gently festive, and share a little light in the darker months.

This year’s party takes place on Tuesday 16 December at the Friargate Meeting House in York.

A Party for Everyone

Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, all our members are warmly invited. Expect carols, snacks, festive cheer, and the kind of company that doesn’t expect you to be full of festive spirit if that’s not where you’re at.

All our members can come as they are, dress up if they fancy, and join us in making space for connection, kindness, and community.

Why We Chose Friargate Again

Just like last year, we’re hosting the party at Friargate Meeting House—a fully accessible, centrally located venue. It’s easy to get to and works well for members with mobility issues or access needs.

We’ve also been running other sessions at Friargate throughout the year, like craft groups and wellbeing workshops, so for many members, it’s already a familiar and welcoming space.
