Digital Confidence Starts Here: ICT with Anita at Kyra
Whether you’re trying to send an email, navigate online banking, or just figure out how to copy and paste—you’re not alone. Digital tasks that seem simple to some can feel impossible without support, and that’s why we have our wonderful Anita.
Anita offers individual, one-hour ICT sessions for Kyra members, held here at Kyra. Each member gets their own dedicated hour of support, completely tailored to what they need. Anita runs these sessions twice a month, offering friendly, practical help—no tech jargon, no pressure, and absolutely no judgment.
Each hour is yours to use however you like. Anita can help you:
- Set up and manage email accounts
- Use Microsoft Word or Google Docs
- Navigate your phone or tablet
- Organise files and photos
- Manage privacy settings and passwords
- Get confident with video calls and online booking systems
It’s tailored, friendly help that puts you in control of your own learning.
Why It Matters
Digital exclusion is a real barrier for many women. Around 8.5 million people in the UK lack the basic digital skills needed for daily life, and 1.3 million are unable to perform any digital tasks at all.
And this isn’t just about computers—it’s about accessing vital services, applying for jobs, attending medical appointments, and staying connected with friends and family.
That’s why our ICT support is so important. For many of our members, building confidence in these areas opens the door to independence, opportunity, and peace of mind.
Want to Book a Session?
Anita’s ICT sessions are free for Kyra members, but there is a waiting list. To register your interest or join the list, email maisie@kyra.org.uk and let us know what kind of support you’re looking for.
