Grief doesn’t follow a timeline, and it doesn’t come with instructions. That’s why at Kyra, we offer a gentle, structured space for members navigating all kinds of loss, whether recent or long ago.

Our Loss Workshop series is designed to support women at every stage of their grief journey. Whether you’re newly bereaved, adjusting to life after loss, or simply need space to process, these sessions offer understanding, tools, and connection.

Where It Starts: The Introductory Workshop

We begin with a one-off introductory workshop, where members can explore what grief is, learn common emotional and physical responses, and discover healthy coping strategies. The session is relaxed and welcoming, ideal for those unsure where to start or feeling anxious about opening up.

Importantly, the workshop isn’t just about bereavement. Loss can take many forms (like relationships, jobs, health, identity, home) and all of these can impact our wellbeing. This space is designed to support women navigating any kind of grief or change, whatever the cause.

This session also gives a taste of what to expect in our longer course. There’s no pressure to continue, but if the session feels right for you, you’re welcome to join the next stage.

Going Deeper: The Four-Week Loss Course

Women who wish to continue are invited to our four-week course, which gently builds on the themes introduced in the workshop. Each week covers a different theme:

  • Week One: Understanding grief and the many ways it shows up
  • Week Two: Practical coping tools for everyday life
  • Week Three: Rebuilding and adjusting to a new ‘normal’
  • Week Four: Strength mapping and resilience

The sessions draw on established grief models and include journaling prompts, grounding techniques, and space for shared reflection. The goal is never to “move on” from loss, but to grow around it.

Continued Support: Loss Drop-In Group

After completing the course, members can attend our Loss Drop-In sessions. There is a relaxed, peer-supported space where women can connect with others who’ve had similar experiences. There’s no formal structure, just tea, compassion, and a place to be.
