Legal stuff can feel big, overwhelming, and a bit scary—especially when you’re already dealing with tough personal situations. That’s why at Kyra, we’re really proud to offer free, friendly legal advice sessions from two brilliant local firms: Ison Harrison and Crombie Wilkinson.
These aren’t stuffy, intimidating meetings. They’re private, one-to-one chats with approachable professionals who really know their stuff and genuinely want to help.
Whether it’s about relationships, children, divorce, or protection from domestic abuse, they’re here to give you clear, compassionate advice—at no cost to our members.
Who’s Involved and What’s on Offer
On the first Thursday of every month, Lucy from Ison Harrison visits Kyra to offer two one-on-one legal support sessions. Lucy is a Legal Aid Family Solicitor who specialises in helping victims of domestic abuse get the protection they need, as well as advising on child arrangements and social services involvement.
Then, on the third Thursday of each month, we’re joined by Juliette from Crombie Wilkinson and her team. They offer a drop-in session from 10am to 12pm, or you can book a slot in advance. Juliette focuses on relationship breakdowns, financial settlements, child arrangements, and protection from domestic abuse—and if she can’t help with something, Juliette is happy to signpost our members to someone who can.
Both firms also joined us at our International Women’s Day event, offering advice and showing their support for Kyra’s work.

Both Ison Harrison and Crombie Wilkinson also attended our last International Women’s Day event in March
Why It Matters
When you’re going through a difficult time, getting legal advice might be the last thing on your mind—but it can also be the first step toward taking back control. These sessions can help our members understand their rights, make informed decisions, and feel a bit more confident about what comes next.
Whether you’ve got a specific question or just want to talk things through, these sessions are here—judgment-free and jargon-free.
