ROSE+ Is Here for Women Figuring Things Out

At Kyra, we believe that young women deserve dedicated spaces to grow, connect, and feel supported. That’s why we started the ROSE group (Reaching Out, Supporting, Empowering)—a weekly group for women aged 18–25, offering a safe, structured place to build confidence, share experiences, and work through life’s challenges together.

ROSE has been one of our most popular and impactful programmes. But as members approached the age limit, many told us they weren’t quite ready to leave. Life at 26 doesn’t suddenly get easier—if anything, the late twenties can feel even more complex.

So in 2024, we launched ROSE+.

ROSE+ is a continuation of the same supportive spirit, tailored for women aged 26–30. Led by our brilliant Sherrie (who also runs the original ROSE group), ROSE+ offers a welcoming space to navigate career stress, changing relationships, financial pressure, identity questions—and everything else that comes with figuring out adulthood.

Why This Age Matters

There’s something quietly complicated about the 26–30 age range. You might be finishing up uni or a college course—or realising the path you picked isn’t quite right anymore.

You’re expected to be career-focused, maybe saving for a house, maybe thinking about starting a family, all while still figuring out who you are and what you actually want.

It can be a lonely, overwhelming time. And for women who’ve faced difficult pasts, this can be when old wounds feel particularly raw or unprocessed. ROSE+ offers our members a space where they don’t have to have the answers.

What ROSE+ Offers
The group meets every Monday afternoon, offering a consistent, welcoming space to pause, reflect, and feel supported.

Sessions vary depending on the needs and interests of the group. From gentle peer support and open discussions to movie nights and creative sessions like crafting or journaling, there’s always something grounding and meaningful to take part in.

Recent activities have included everything from Easter egg hunts, quilling, and debates on gender identity and sexuality, to mirror art, butterfly decorating—and even a visit from Lucy the Support Dog.

Support the Work We Do

Groups like ROSE+ don’t happen by accident—they’re made possible by our supporters, volunteers, and funders who believe in what we do.

If you’d like to help more women access spaces like this, consider donating, fundraising, or becoming a corporate sponsor. Your support helps us meet women exactly where they are—and walk beside them as they figure out what comes next.
